Hazlehurst Studios talks Spaces

Updated: Aug 29, 2021

Spring 2021 sees the Independent's Biennial go online - from the 20th of March till the 6th June

Independents Biennial is run by Art in Liverpool - which is a leading art and cultural hub for the Liverpool City Region.

Hazlehurst Studios were invited to be part of a series of conversations that have asked artist led spaces to think about the relationship that they have with their studios as a whole and the individual spaces within them. This had a particular focus on how the pandemic has affected us as individual artists and as an organisation. It's a very honest and open discussion about how vital the space and place is to us. It has also been a step forward for us an organisation to be included in these conversations, instead of them just been focused on the city centre of Liverpool. It is sometimes a struggle to identify as being part of the Liverpool City Region, but there is definitely an appetite to collaborate and skill share across the region. We would recommend listening to whole series of podcasts - which you can find here

Listen to our episode here:

Or you can listen to the conversation, whilst we guide you round the studio (yes we tidied up a bit).

Whilst you are here - if you an artist that works in the Liverpool City Region we want to hear from you! We are currently conducting a research and development project and we need your input. Please head over to this page and fill in our simple survey - Visual Art in Halton Survey
