Halton's Heritage Open Days

Halton's Heritage Open Days is part of Heritage Open Days National scheme which runs every September to celebrate our rich and varied heritage. From the 8th to the 17th September 2023 you will see organisations/venues and groups embracing the theme 'Creativity Unwrapped'.

Hazlehurst Studios is taking part this year, with their focus being on their 'Runcorn Street Art' project, which is rooted in exploring the heritage of the Dukesfield area of Runcorn. Working with local illustrator Millie Chesters, we have created a series of illustrations, bringing to life some of the tales that form a part of the history of not only Dukesfield, but of Runcorn itself. Lots more to come about this project, but in the meantime come along to a free session and find out more!

Friday 8th September: Print Techniques and Mark Making

During the session we are inviting you to create some art yourself, using techniques such as lino cutting, block printing and mark making - guided by our studio artists Rachael Prime, Toni Louise Carter, and Millie Chesters.

All materials will be provided, and we are looking forward to sharing the stories and exploring new ideas with you.
