Our artist Cliff is providing us with the first lot of inspiration for the 'Open Spaces' prompt for #drawonhalton
The inspiration for Cliff himself was taken from Runcorn Town Park, which led to Cliff creating these charcoal drawings of his surroundings.
Words from Cliff about his medium of choice
"Charcoal is my preferred choice of drawing medium. This is something to do with the range of marks that can be produced and of the versatility of this medium to be subjected to a range of processes. I am intrigued with the symbiotic relationship between myself and the material, an interaction realising that the prefigured idea is tempered and placed at the interface of the drawing process, between touch and the possibilities of materials."
